- Do not always rely on the internet for job opportunities - if possible go out directly to businesses face to face
- Be sure to dress for success when job searching in person
- Be prepared and spend some time researching the company before the interview - learn basic facts, president's name, is it a branch of a larger company, etc..
- Remember to include a cover letter with the resume. If you are having difficulty with a cover letter. Send me an email, I will forward you some new templates, I have available.
- Send out follow up letter if you receive no response from prospective employers you sent resumes
- After every interview, send out a thank you letter. This is a must! I cannot tell you how many times, this has gotten someone a job. It is a simple courtesy, most neglect to do.
